Caregiver Jobs — FAQ

Common questions from applicants. Don’t see yours? Call (215) 490-9994.

What caregiver roles is A-Team Home Care hiring for?
A-Team is actively hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Companion Caregivers, Certified Nursing Aides (CNAs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) across Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester counties.
Do I need experience to apply?
Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required for non-skilled roles. Pennsylvania requires training for Direct Care Workers (DCWs), Home Health Aides, and Personal Care Aides — not state certification. A-Team coordinates the required Pennsylvania DCW training through OLTL-approved programs (Frontline’s Safety Orientation + Foundational Skills). RN and LPN positions require an active Pennsylvania nursing license.
What ongoing training is required each year?
Pennsylvania does not mandate a specific annual training topic list for Direct Care Workers, but ongoing continuing education in your competency area and your client population is expected and supported by A-Team. Standards are governed by 55 Pa. Code § 2600.65 for personal care home / assisted living settings, and by program-specific rules (CHC, OPTIONS, JFCS) for in-home care. A-Team coordinates required and recommended trainings on an ongoing basis at no cost to the caregiver.
How does the $2,000 Quality Care Program work?
The $2,000 Quality Care Program is subject to performance and quality benchmarks — specific eligibility, payout schedule, and qualifying hours are reviewed during the application process. Call A-Team at (215) 490-9994 for the current Quality Care Program terms.
How fast can I start working after applying?
Most A-Team caregivers complete intake, training, and start their first shift within 2 to 3 weeks. The exact timeline depends on your training status, paperwork completion, and which clients are matched to your schedule and location.
What languages does A-Team support?
Office staff and care coordinators speak English, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian — and we staff cases in additional languages by request. Multilingual caregivers are encouraged to apply, especially for clients matched by language preference.
Already caring for a family member? Can you pay me for that?
Yes — that’s a separate program called the A-Team Family Caregiver Program, designed for relatives helping a loved one age in place. If you’re an adult relative (other than the spouse or anyone holding power of attorney for the care recipient) already caring for a loved one in PA, you can be paid as a Direct Care Worker through Pennsylvania Community HealthChoices (CHC) Medicaid waiver, the PCA Philadelphia OPTIONS Program, or JFCS enrollment. Veterans and their surviving spouses may also qualify for VA Aid & Attendance through the VetAssist Program. See the Family Caregiver Program page →
