A-Team Home Care Says Thank You to Our Caregivers and Our Clients

We do not get to do this often. Home care happens out of sight. Our caregivers spend their days in other people’s homes, one house and then the next, and they rarely see each other. Many of our clients do not get out much either. So we put everyone in the same room, at the same tables, and fed them.

We gave out gift bags that said “Thank you for all you do” and “You are amazing”, because that is what we wanted to say and we meant it. There was a balloon arch in pink, orange, yellow and green against a gold backdrop. There was a sign that read: “May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.”

Our office staff came in company shirts. One of our team spent the whole afternoon inside an inflatable peacock costume. People danced. Our clients watched, and some of them danced too.

The caregivers who came are the same people who show up at 7 in the morning to help someone get dressed, who notice when a client is quieter than usual, who call the office when something is not right. The clients who came are the reason any of it matters.

We are going to do it again.
